"Live your life by a compass, not a clock."

All clocks seem almost ordinary, with the same thing over again. There is always numbers to tell you the hour, typically 2-3 hands that represent the hour, minute and second hand. Typically, clocks are always flat; whether on the side of a building, on a wall, in a watch, or in on a microwave or some other appliance. I created a clock that tells time without numbers or letters that was 3-Dimensional trying to break that steriotype. Using Shape and form, the top created an interesting amount of dimension where it is suspended above the clock centered. The Compass rose also helps clarify the hours for those who aren’t as good with proportions. The red “True North” arrow shows that it is twelve-o-clock, the purple arrows signify the west and the east.   Below the compass rose an actual world map rotates to represent the hour hand of the clock.
